Neem Oil

Neem oil (an essential oil) is a natural vegetable oil that is extracted from the fruits and seeds of the neem tree which is native to Pakistan, India and other parts of South Asia. It is being used for thousands of years in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for its medicinal and therapeutic properties.

Neem oil contains several compounds, including azadirachtin, which is a potent insecticide and anti-fungal agent. Because of its insecticidal properties, neem oil is often used in organic farming to control pests, such as aphids, whiteflies, and spider mites, without harming beneficial insects like bees and ladybugs.

Neem oil is also used in cosmetics and skincare products for its moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties. It has been shown to be effective in treating acne, eczema, psoriasis, and other skin conditions.

Additionally, neem oil has been used in traditional medicine to treat a variety of ailments, such as fever, malaria, gastrointestinal disorders, and respiratory infections. However, more research is needed to fully understand its potential health benefits and side effects.
