Pink Salt commonly known as Himalayan Salt or Food Grade Salt is mined from Himalaya Mountain Range in Punjab region of Pakistan. It is the purest salt available on earth and is primarily used as food item.
Himalayan salt’s pink color is natural. It remains in its original form, uncontaminated with toxins or pollutants. As compared to table salt, pink salt is free from all artificial additives and anti-caking agents. It does not use heat treatment or refining methods to extract it; instead it is mined without explosives to preserve the natural ingredients in it.
Pink salt is chemically similar to table salt. As per analysis, Himalayan salt constitutes about 96-98% sodium chloride, with the remaining content consisting of typical minerals, most in minute quantity.
